Yesterday I had a new success with a delicious tart, which is ideal in the mornings when you are tired of the same breakfast - cereals with milk or scrambled eggs -. So I took advantage of the fact that I received from the country, from my grandfather a huge piece of homemade, made like in Moldova and I invented a tart, as easy to make as it is tasty:

Ingredients for the cheese filling:

  • 700 gr cheesecake
  • 3 egg yolks, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar (16 gr)
  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon butter
  • 20 g of potato flour, 150 ml of milk

Ingredients for apple filling:

  • 1 kg of apples, 1 sachet of strawberry jelly powder
  • 2 tablespoons peach jelly powder (can use a different flavor)

Ingredients for the glaze:

  • 150 gr butter, 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons sugar, 6 tablespoons milk
  • 4-5 handfuls of chopped walnuts

Method of preparation:

We prepare the dough first. Add the sugar and baking powder to the flour bowl. We mix. Put the cold butter on a large grater and put it in the flour bowl. We mix.

Add eggs and mix with a spoon, then knead the dough with your hands. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts. Wrap two pieces of dough in cling film and put them in the fridge.

We spread the third piece of dough in a sheet the size of a baking tray (tray 25 & # 21535 cm lined with baking paper) and place it in the tray. We spread it evenly.

Prick the dough with a fork and put it in the preheated oven at 180 degrees (top-down function) for about 20 minutes, until browned. Bake the dough on the middle shelf of the oven.

After it has baked, take it out of the oven and set it aside to cool. In the same way we will bake the other 2 pieces of dough from the fridge. Thus, we will get 3 countertops.

We prepare the cheese filling. Put the cheese in a bowl. Add powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks and mix with a mixer until smooth. Add the potato flour to the milk and mix.

Put the previously prepared mixture in a saucepan and add the butter. Stir until all the butter melts. Boil the cheese filling, stirring constantly so that it does not burn.

Reduce heat to low and add potato flour mixed with milk. I was waiting for it to boil again. Stir frequently.

Pour the hot cheese filling on the first baking tray. We spread it evenly. I added the second worktop and pressed it lightly.

We prepare the apple filling. We clean the apples and put them on a large-mesh grater. We put them in a pan on the stove and cook them until soft.

Take the apples off the heat, add both types of jelly and mix until dissolved. Put the hot apple filling over the second top and spread it evenly. Place the third countertop on top and press lightly.

We prepare the glaze. Put the butter in a saucepan. Add the milk, sugar and cocoa and put the pan on the fire. When it boils, reduce the heat to low and cook the mixture for about 3-4 minutes. Stir frequently.

Pour the hot icing over the second countertop and spread it evenly. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. After the cake cools, put it in the fridge. We leave it in the fridge overnight. The next day we can cut it and serve. Good appetite!
